Year 2010

Entries must be on an official C.A. entry form and sent with the appropriate fee to the Tournament Secretary enclosing a S.A.E.   Entries are restricted to members until the end of  March after which entries from non-members will be accepted.   Please state on the entry form if you do not want lunch.


Handicap Cards

Every member will be given a Club Handicap Card, which should be filled in after every game.  When CA members play each other in club matches, they will record their results on their CA cards.

Open Tournaments 2010

Places for non members will be allocated in March.  We will be able to return to lunches prepared on the premises for open tournaments in 2010.  If you want lunch it must be requested on your entry form, and if ordered you will be charged, whether eaten or not.  If you have any special dietary requirements please specify on the application form.  The bar will be open and morning coffee, afternoon tea and biscuits will be provided as usual.

  • The Robert Prichard Weekend - 1st to 3rd May.  Advanced play, open to handicaps of 8 and below.  Manager to be advised.   Entry fee £20 (members £18) Restricted to 28 players.
     

  • Over 50's Weekend - Friday 18th June to Sunday 20th June.   Handicap Egyptian.  Open to handicaps of 20 and below.  Manager to be advised.  Restricted to 24 players.  Entry fee £20 (members £18).
     

  • Golf Croquet Open Handicap Tournament - is to be held on Saturday and Sunday 7th-8th August.  The Saturday will be a doubles competition and the  Sunday a singles.  Manager Ken Wheeler.
     

  • 111th T/M - is on Saturday 28th August to Tuesday 30th August.  Handicap Egyptian and Blocks - open to handicaps 20 and below at the time of entry.  Manager Martin Kolbuszewski.  Entry fee £24 (members £22).   Restricted to 28 players.
     

  • Chairman's Salver - will be played on Thursday 9th September to Sunday 12th September.
     

  • Club Competitions
     Butlin Trophy - open to all members.   Handicap play - American block.
    Albert Trophy - open to all members.  Advanced play. American block.  This is basically an event for members with a handicap below 8, but any member who would prefer to gain experience in advanced play may enter. 
    Both of the above competitions will take place between Saturday 5th June and Saturday 26th September.  Games will be organised by competitors and may be played at any time except Club afternoons, or during organised matches or social events.   Entries close on Saturday 24th April.
    Golf Singles Trophy - open to all members (handicaps may be applied).  Will be played for on Thursday 10th June.
    Golf Doubles Trophy - open to all members (partners select to balance ability).  Will be played on Thursday 2nd September..
    The last two events are all day duration with 10am start, so bring a packed lunch.

Other Events

  • Come and Try It is on Saturday 15th May.  Help will be needed in the afternoon.
  • EACF Northern Area league matches both Association Golf will be played on various days over the season.
  • Chairman's Day will be on Saturday 26th June.
  • The Roger Ivill Memorial Trophy against Newport will be played at Hunstanton on Sunday 25th July.
  • The October Bowl against Norwich will be on Sunday 3th October.
  • Social evenings to be arranged.
  • Annual lunch will be at Caley Hall Hotel on Wednesday 13th October.
  • AGM will be held on Saturday 30th October.
